I met Mizz Liz in 2023, when she was asking legal questions for a book she was working on. I had had some experience with the law and courts in my 32-year career as a law enforcement officer. After we exchanged ideas, I asked her if she would be willing
to look over a manuscript I had written. She graciously accepted. And that was how it started.
Little did I realize the depth of her passion for writing and editing. She undertook the work with a fervor unmatched by anyone. She uses her own unique style of visualizing a scene and become so familiar with the character, that she can see three moves before them and can read if a scene or action is organic to the character, or just a cliché’. She is very hands on, communicating frequently with updates and suggestions on a chapter or a particular scene, if need be. Though very supportive of her authors, she
offers insight and observations, without being pushy, realizing that the work is the authors, and she is there to help make it the best it can be. Mizz Liz is also a multi-tasker, balancing home, work, family and church with her love of writing and editing. Many a morning I have awaken to find completed chapters,
awaiting my approval in my email, all the while knowing she had spent the entire day tending to her charges and working late into the night, to complete her commitment to me and my book. She has a Servant’s Heart, and is selfless and passionate about
writing, and puts her heart and soul into her editing, to mix with the blood and ink brought by the author.
Mizz Liz is an editor for Crossroads Publishing, LLC.,  a position which enables her to not only evaluate and edit, but to teach and nurture other editors who strive for the honor of service the authors of the written word.
